Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has once again reiterated that Riyad Mahrez will stay with the Foxes this season, amid rumours of Arsenal’s interest.

According to France Football earlier this week, the PFA Player of the Year was mulling over a new contract recently offered by Leicester, meanwhile Ranieri also admitted that the Algerian winger was “distracted” by the rumours surrounding his name.

The Italian boss has now reaffirmed Leicester fans over Mahrez’s future, however, by confirming the stay of all key players.

“The chairman told me at the beginning, when we spoke, that we want to keep everybody,” Ranieri said. “Kante had a clause and wanted to go, but the others stay with us.”

The 54-year-old’s comments come soon after a Mahrez-related Instagram post was made by Leicester’s owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, alongside the man himself, stating: “VS: You Not For Sale!!,” followed by “Mahrez: OK Boss.”

Arsenal are unlikely to return with a bid for Olympique Lyonnais striker Alexandre Lacazette, the Evening Standard reports.

The French club revealed in an official club statement last week that they had rejected an offer from the Gunners for Lacazette worth £29 million.

The north London club were then rumoured to be readying an improved offer for the 25-year-old Frenchman, whose price tag is thought to be north of £40 million.

With Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger refusing to be drawn on any particular name quoted, the Evening Standard now reports that the Gunners will no longer up their bid for Lacazette before the window closes, subsequently dampening the interest in the striker.

The agent of Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi will again be in London for talks with Arsenal over a potential transfer, claims.

Icardi’s wife and agent, Wanda Nara, made sure her visit to London last month was made public when a tweet sent out revealed her location, subsequently fuelling talk of a move.

Nara will again make the trip to London for talks with Arsenal’s executives, reveals, as speculation over the Argentine striker’s future in Milan persists.

An offer from Napoli has reportedly been rejected by Inter for the €65 million-rated 23-year-old, whereas talks over an increase in Icardi’s wages are also yet to be scheduled by the Nerazzurri.
