Arsenal have made a bid for Santos starlet Gabriel Barbosa, according to ESPN Brazil, with the 19-year-old reportedly keen on the move.

Barbosa and his camp revealed Santos had received three offers for the forward, one being from “a big European club”, which, as per ESPN Brazil, has been identified as Arsenal.

Nicknamed ‘Gabigol’ for his goalscoring exploits, the Santos star is said to be excited about the move, but has also stated that he’s more than happy to remain in Brazil.

“I’ve got offers from big clubs that attract me, yes, but that’s for my parents and agent to discuss. I’m happy at Santos,” said Barbosa.

“Santos is my home, my place. We’ll have to keep calm when deciding.”

Fiorentina are reported to have offered £25 million for the Brazil international, meanwhile Chinese club Hebei Fortune have also launched a bid, but Barbosa is said to only have eyes for a move to Europe.

Barcelona can also be expected to enter the race, reportedly holding a first-option-to-buy clause for the coveted prospect following the relations developed in the Neymar deal back in 2013.

ESPN Brazil point, however, to the United Kingdom’s imminent exit from the European Union as a potential stumbling block, meanwhile Barbosa’s ownership (20% claimed by third party Doyen Sports, 40% by himself) may also complicate the deal.

Morata will officially join Real Madrid at the end of this week for approximately £22 million, with the Champions League winners open to profiting from the Spaniard’s arrival.

The Express claim Arsenal have made a bid for Morata, with Sky Sports journalist Guillem Balague also confirming the interest that is being shown.

“In terms of his future, Morata has gone back to Real Madrid but it doesn’t end there,” Balague stated.

“His agent has confirmed that he will listen to offers, and we will have to see if Real Madrid do the same.

“The offers come from England; Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United would like to have him so now it’s down to Real Madrid if they want to sell him.”

Barcelona could soon make a move for Arsenal right back Héctor Bellerín after the sale of Dani Alves to Juventus, the London Evening Standard reports.

Juventus confirmed the free transfer of Alves yesterday, and it is now being reported that Barcelona are keen on bringing Bellerín, formerly of the La Masia academy, back to the Camp Nou.

However, Arsenal will be at ease knowing that Bellerín still has three years left on his deal, with reports surfacing over the past month of the Gunners being ready to extend his current contract and fend off the Catalan giants.

Barcelona’s sporting director Robert Fernández also stated in past weeks that Bellerín was yet to be identified internally as a transfer target, placing much of his faith in ex-Sevilla man Aleix Vidal, among others.

“I haven’t raised [Bellerín] at this point,” he said. “He’s a fantastic player who we know because he grew up here but at this time I’m not raising anything in this regard.

“Aleix Vidal was signed [last summer] thinking Alves could go. We trust in him.”

Bellerín’s good form for the Gunners over the past two seasons has propelled him to Spain’s Euro 2016 squad, cementing his place in the Arsenal first team along the way.
