Arsenal join Alexandre Lacazette race.

According to reports, Arsenal have joined the race to sign French International Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal have joined the three way transfer battle to land Lacazette, joining, West Ham United and Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will reportedly meet with the £45 million rated star representatives this week as the Gunners look to alternatives after being snubbed by Jamie Vardy.

The prolific striker scored 23 goals in 43 matches for Lyon last season and Arsenal have become very aware of the Lyon star’s talent.

Lacazette has also represented France 10 times and scored 1 goal, but this was not enough to impress French coach Didier Deschamps as the striker was not selected for the Euros.

Lyon have set an asking price will be around £45 million.

The Hammers are looking to spend big this summer following their move to London’s Olympic Stadium and have already had a £42 million bid rejected, with Lyon demanding at least £3 more million if they are to agree a fee.

Spanish heavyweights Atletico are also keen on the player and certainly have the cash to meet Lyon’s valuation.

Wenger sees Lacazette as the ideal man to bolster the Gunners weak strike force, Arsenal certainly have the funds to make the move but have to fight off the competition, which they should be confident off.

Alexandre Lacazette has been on Arsenal’s radar for the past two summers and Arsenal now look set to pursue their interest in the striker.

Lacazette has three years left on his contract, and this will allow Lyon to stand firm until their valuation is met.

They are under no financial pressure to sell their star player after agreeing to sell defender Samuel Umtiti to Barcelona for £21.5m.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea put on alert as Alvaro Morata doesn’t deny a move could happen.

Arsenal target Alvaro Morata has come out and said he wants to play for a team that values him, and makes him feel important after his return to the Bernabeu last week.

Real Madrid signed their former attacker for £23 million after activating their buyback clause which was stipulated in his contract.

Morata left Madrid for Turin in 2014 after playing 37 games for the Spanish giants scoring 10 goals.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are all interested in signing the Spanish international this summer and have been told they will have to pay £50+ million to land him.

Real Madrid are looking to make an eye watering profit on their new man if they are to be tempted into selling him.
Another move may be in store for Morata, as the Spain striker told TV broadcaster Cuatro he would only be satisfied at a club that planned to give him a key role.

‘I want a team that makes me feel important and I would be ready to stay in Madrid to win my place,’ Morata said.
‘I do not have to prove anything to anyone. I am a player of Real Madrid and they will decide if they want me, otherwise we will find another solution.’

Morata’s agent Juanma Lopez told sport newspaper AS earlier this week that the 23-year-old had offers on the table from multiple Premier League sides.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are believed to lead the way in the competition for Morata’s signature.

Morata will of course love to impress on his return to Madrid and be given a massive role within the squad, but he is believed to be apprehensive about the return to Spain.

The academy graduate was undervalued in his last spell with Madrid but will not think about the future until after the Euros.

‘My priority right now is the national team, with whom I want to win the Euros. Only after this competition will I think about my future.’

Arsenal will be keeping an eye on developments in the next few months and will be hopeful a deal can materialise if the striker decides to leave.

Arsene Wenger has been a huge admirer of the striker for many years and looks set to finally fix his striking options this summer.

Arsenal set to lose out on Henrikh Mkhitaryan

According to reports, Arsenal are set to lose out on the signature of Henrikh Mkhitaryan as the midfield star edges closer to a move to Manchester United.

Manchester United are reportedly close to signing the Armenian international for £28 million.

New Manchester United boss is desperate to land the versatile attacking midfielder who can also play on the flank this summer as he looks to rebuild the depleted United squad.

Borussia Dortmund are already preparing for life without their attacking maestro Mkhitaryan.

Reports claim the German giants have had a £29m (€36m) bid rejected for Bayer Leverkusen star Karim Bellarabi
“There was an official request from Dortmund few days ago, but it was instantly rejected,” Voller told Bild.

Mkhitaryan’s Agent Mino Raiola has been vocal on the attacker’s future, insisting that a move to Old Trafford should happen.

He said: “Manchester are Micki’s dream club, he wants to join them by any means.

“It would be a sin to stop talking.”

Borussia Dortmund are likely to sanction the move as Mkhitaryan only has one year left on his current contract and will be reluctant to lose him on a free next summer.
